Comedy Series starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant about the lockdown to be aired on BBC

During these difficult times of global pandemic COVID-19, BBC One is all set to air a comedy series about actors in lockdown. Michael Sheen and David Tennant will perform in this brand new comedy series. The name of this comedy series is Staged and it has six parts which has been rehearsed and filmed distantly through self-shooting and video conferences in order to follow the guidelines of government on Covid-19.

The other cast of Staged includes Anna Lundberg, Lucy Eaton and Georgia Tennant. Some guest stars are also working in the series one of them is Nina Sosanya while the other guest stars will be announced in due course of time. Staged is about the actors of a West End play who has to face the challenge of creating a drama in lockdown, hilarious and absurd, Staged is about the struggle of actors to stay motivated and focused during these unusual times. The original idea of the series is by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn while Evans has written and directed it.

Talking about Staged Director BBC Content, Charlotte Moore says:

“It’s vital that the BBC provides moments of light relief and this mischievous idea shows what great sports Michael and David are in sending themselves up.”

The series will air on BBC One in June and also will be available as a box set on BBC iPlayer after transmission.
