Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire is making its highly anticipated return to the West End for a strictly limited three-week run at the Noël Coward Theatre. Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, this award-winning production will run until 22 February before heading to New York.

The cast features an acclaimed lineup, with Paul Mescal reprising his Olivier-winning role as Stanley, alongside Anjana Vasan as Stella and Patsy Ferran as Blanche. Dwane Walcott joins them as Mitch, rounding out the core cast. The production has been widely praised for bringing fresh depth to Williams’ classic drama.

Additional cast members include Eduardo Ackerman, Janet Etuk, Alexander Eliot, Gabriela Garcia, Francesca Knight, Tom Penn, Curtis Patrick, Constanza Ruff, and Jabez Sykes. The show’s creative team features set designer Madeleine Girling, costume designer Merle Hensel, lighting designer Lee Curran, sound designer Peter Rice, and composer Angus MacRae.

At the 2023 Olivier Awards, A Streetcar Named Desire took home the Best Revival award, with Mescal, Ferran, and Vasan receiving individual acting accolades. With its return to London, audiences have another chance to experience this gripping, emotionally charged production before it moves across the Atlantic.
