The West End welcomes a new neighbor to the iconic Mousetrap: the murder mystery musical "Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder!" This delightful musical comedy, written by Matthew Floyd Jones and Jon Brittain, is co-directed by Brittain and Fabian Aloise, who also choreographs the production. The plot follows two true crime podcasters, Kathy and Stella, who find themselves embroiled in a real-life mystery when their favorite author is murdered.

Starring Bronté Barbé (Newsies) as Kathy and Rebekah Hinds (Oklahoma!) as Stella, the cast also features Imelda Warren-Green, Elliot Broadfoot, Hannah-Jane Fox, Elliotte Williams-N’Dure, and Ben Redfern. Supporting them are Jennifer Caldwell, Chelsea Hall, and Sorelle Marsh. The musical's band includes Andrew Hilton (musical director), Catherine Benson (associate musical director), Laura Browne (guitar), and Philip Williams (drums).

Critics have praised the musical's celebration of female friendship and inclusive humor. Sarah Crompton from WhatsOnStage highlighted its appeal during the Edinburgh Fringe, and it received equally enthusiastic reviews on tour.

The creative team comprises set and costume designer Cecilia Carey, co-sound designers Tingying Dong and Dan Samson, lighting designer Peter Small, and many others. Produced by Francesca Moody Productions and partners, "Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder!" runs at the Ambassadors Theatre until 14 September 2024, with a press night on 5 June.
