Cabaret Welcomes New Cast Members

Beverley Klein, with an established reputation in theatre, is set to join the cast of the acclaimed production of Cabaret at London's West End. She has performed in various prestigious theatres, including the National Theatre and the West End. In the production, she will portray the role of Fraulein Schneider.

Maude Apatow, recognized for her character as Lexi Howard in HBO's Euphoria, will be playing the lead character, Sally Bowles. Apatow has completed a stint in Little Shop of Horrors.

Mason Alexander Park, an acclaimed non-binary performer and writer, is also joining the cast. Currently, they star in NBC's Quantum Leap and Neil Gaiman's The Sandman on Netflix. Park has earned the Helen Hayes Award for their portrayal of the Emcee in Cabaret. In the upcoming production, they will once again take on the role of the Emcee.

Additionally, Teddy Kempner will play Herr Schultz, Sally's love interest, in the show. The four new cast members will begin their performances on May 29, 2023, at the Kit Kat Club in London's West End.

In Park's statement, they expressed their enthusiasm in joining the remarkable production of Cabaret. They acknowledged that the show's themes are more timely than ever and that they are excited to take on the necessary challenge of portraying the Emcee as a trans person. Meanwhile, Apatow expressed her gratitude in joining such a spectacular production and fulfilling her dream of playing Sally Bowles.

Rebecca Frecknall directs the production, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, choreography by Julia Cheng, and musical supervision by Jennifer Whyte.
