West End will once again welcome Noises Off at London’s Phoenix Theatre for a limited run of 8 weeks.
Noises Off is a multi-award-winning farce comedy celebrating its 40th anniversary on tour and will be available to watch from 19 January 2023.
Lindsay Posner's new production of the acclaimed play follows the hilarious on and off-stage events of a touring theatre company, The idea for the play, written by Michael Frayn, was inspired by the humorous backstage drama of the author’s earlier production The Two of Us.
The original production opened in London in 1982 becoming a global success, and the show was last running in the West End in late 2019, with Jeremy Herrin as its director.
Noises Off is starring Felicity Kendal (The Good Life) as Dotty Otley, Tracy-Ann Oberman (Friday Night Dinner) as Belinda Blair and Matthew Kelly (The Dresser) as Selsdon Mowbray, along with Alexander Hanson as Lloyd Dallas, Joseph Millson as Garry Lejeune, Sasha Frost as Brooke Ashton, Pepter Lunkuse as Poppy Norton Taylor and Jonathan Coy as Fredrick Fellows.
The creative team consists of Lindsay Posner, who directed notable works such as God of Carnage, Hay Fever and Stones in his Pockets. Simon Higlett is in charge of design, lighting design is signed by Paul Pyant, sound design is done by Greg Clarke, Will Stuart is the official composer, Ruth Cooper-Brown is the movement and fight director, George Jibson is the associate director, and Ginny Schiller is the casting director.
The new production will run at the Phoenix Theatre with a limited eight-week run from 19 January to 11 March. A unique opportunity to spice up some humour into everyday life!
