Following a 2022 world premiere at Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, The Great British Bake Off Musical comes to the West End for a limited 12-week run early next year.
The Great British Bake Off Musical will run at the Noel Coward Theatre from 25 February to 13 May.
Based on the popular television series of the same name, the musical follows eight contestants sharing a love of baking on their journey of cooking trials and tribulations. Wait until the end to find out who will be crowned Star Baker!
The cast of The Great British Bake Off Musical includes award-winning West End star John Owen Jones (Les Misèrables) in the lead role of the judge Phil Hollinghurst. Scott Paige (The Addams Family) will play the role of the Presenter, accompanied by the original cast of musical professionals as the contestants.
Catriana Sandison (Evita), Claire Moore (Mary Poppins), Charlotte Wakefield (The Boy In The Dress), Michael Cahill (Martin Guerre), Damian Humbley (Merrily We Roll Along), Jay Saighal (Hedda Gabler), and making his West End debut - Aharon Rayner.
Further casting will be announced in due course.
Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh (The Wind in the Willows: The Musical), the show features choreography by Georgina Lamb, sound design by Ben Harrison, set design by Alice Power, and lighting design by Ben Cracknell.
The original score is signed by award-winning duo Pippa Cleary, in charge of music and lyrics, and Jake Brunger, who wrote the book and lyrics. The musical was created in collaboration with Creative Director and Executive Producer Richard McKerrow, and the producers of TV wonder Love Productions.
